I have always felt that my experience in working my way through school
and other life experiences have helped me to be flexible and creative in
my approach to life, business and the law. In addition, my actual legal
work experience spans more than ten years and encompasses a wide
variety of legal areas.
I moved to Sonoma just before starting High School and love the area. I
worked my way through Santa Rosa Junior College, where I graduated
with honors, and Sonoma State University, where I graduated cum
laude. I finally left the area, but not very far, to attend the University of
Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. I joined the State Bar
of California in 2001. I finally moved back to Sonoma after working in
the Sacramento area for several years.
Prior to moving off to law school, I worked for the asbestos litigation firm
of Brayton Harley Curtis (now Brayton Purcell) as an administrative
assistant. While in law school, I worked as a law clerk in the Sacramento
office of Stanton, Kay & Watson, where I focused on the area of
construction contract disputes. I then joined the firm of Cook Brown as a
law clerk where I became an associate after passing the bar exam in
2001. Most recently, I was an associate with the Law Offices of Wanland
& Spaulding in Sacramento before opening my own office in November
of 2006.
